What is a great song that is longer than six minutes?

  1. This song taught me how to appreciate drums. It taught me how to really listen to them and isolate their sound. I’m not a drummer but I’ve been keyed in ever since.

  2. Wild to think an anime AND a meme made this song popular again in starting with the early 2010s. Why not, it absolutely deserves the spotlight again for being the perfect cliffhanger outro.

  3. God there is such a long list of good Iron Maiden songs that are lengthy. Top 3 for me are probably Dance of Death, When The Wild Wind Blows, Hallowed be Thy Name

  4. That's a good one. My brother loved that song considering that we lived through that very storm in the U.P. of Michigan. I don't remember it as I was only 2 months old.

  5. Station to station (Title track), Width of a Circle and Blackstar (Also title track) are some of my longer favorites from bowie.

  6. And can’t forget Who Are You which clocks in at 6:20 and is maybe one of the greatest rock songs ever

  7. Maiden has like 20 6+ minute tracks that are amazing. I’ll forever remember seeing them live performing The Red and The Black. Such a blast.

  8. I'm so happy to see Close to the Edge this far up in the thread. I think you and I might be best friends without even realizing it.

  9. Mother Earth is pregnant for the third time For y'all have knocked her up. I have tasted the maggots in the mind of the universe I was not offended For I knew I had to rise above it all Or drown in my own shit.

  10. A bunch of great Metallica songs: The Unforgiven, Nothing Else Matters, Master of Puppets, Welcome Home(Sanitarium), Disposable Heroes, Orion, Blackened, One, The Shortest Straw, The Frayed Ends of Sanity, Ride The Lightning, Fade To Black, Creeping Death, just to name a few.

  11. You are at least six minutes into that song when he says "but that's not what I came here to tell you about."

  12. I've been singing this song now for twenty-five minutes. I could sing it for another twenty five minutes. I'm not proud. Or tired.

  13. I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That) would be my choice by Meatloaf. The single version was about 7 minutes but the album version is over 10 minutes.

  14. Nothing made me laugh harder than when my friends started singing one trillion bottles of beer on the wall. I think they took 13 bottles of beer off of the wall.

  15. Also Gravity's union, IKSSE3, Welcome home (its 6:14), The willing wells, Mother superior, Domino and even The audience.

  16. Innerbloom, Rufus du Sol. They said when they played it live for the first time, a bunch of people in the crowd started crying. It does something to you when you let it take over your mind.

  17. Let it happen - Tame Impala. The full song is an amazing ride that feels like going somewhere then coming back.

  18. Most well-known songs over 6 minutes are worth it. There's probably a ton of obscure avantgardistic crap out there lol.

  19. Was going to say Bohemian Rhapsody only to discover it’s 5:55 and I’m slightly disappointed by this reminder
