  1. Absolutely! I was diagnosed with both ADHD and anxiety and my doc originally asked if I wanted to be medicated for both. I decided on just treating the adhd at first because I knew most of the anxiety was from my adhd symptoms. Thankfully after some adjustments to my adhd meds the anxiety is pretty much under control. It pops up occasionally (usually around my period - yeah hormones will mess with your meds) but overall my quality of life is 99% better.

  2. That first week is wild with "this is how other people do stuff oooooooookkk". You will probably adjust to the dosage and some of the noise will creep back in but it's so fantastic.

  3. Thanks for the heads up! I already feel some of the adjustments happening. At first everything was very very quite and ordered, now everything is quite but still messy and disorganized, but still heaps better than yesterday.

  4. I would say the biggest tip I can give you is to use the time you have with extra meds to start setting up schedules and habits to carry on after!

  5. As someone who serially makes a cup of tea to just leave it sitting to get cold I did just perk up at the idea. I looked on Amazon and itโ€™s 90$+ for that 10oz cup. With an hour and a half battery. To hell with that. Iโ€™ll just press the 30 second microwave button 3 times with every cup like I normally do.

  6. If you are ok with drinking your tea from metal...get a double walled travel mug lol. It will keep your tea hot for hours... and be less than $90 guaranteed

  7. I have this big mug with a stormtrooper on the front that Iโ€™m attached to. But thank you for the idea.

  8. Fair enough! There are mug warmers as well lol. Like little hot plates!

  9. Ok so my thought to switch to walgreens is gonna be a no....

  10. The only thing I have in drawers is underwear, socks, and pajamas. Everything else gets hung up. It's the only thing that has worked for me.

  11. I would see if there's anything you can do with your meds - a higher dose maybe or an afternoon addition. Maybe a different med?

  12. If you or someone that you know is considering suicide, please don't hesitate to reach out to a crisis hotline for immediate help, or a warmline just to talk to someone.

  13. I mean, yes, but I'm a female with a period and my mental health goes a little sideways at some point during my cycle

  14. I have washed all of our clothes laundry today. It hasn't been put away yet but it's all clean!

  15. This came in handy when my husband was gone for work for basically a year and a half straight. Sure I missed him but I didn't understand the moaning from people whose spouse goes away for a week... then I found out it was an adhd thing lol.

  16. What happens when you completely ignore medical debt in any way and pretend it doesn't exist while paying nothing? If so then that, because I owe like 80,000$ or something in medical debt.

  17. Depending on how long it's been and assuming you're in the US you might be able to call the billing dept of the hospital and ask if they have any reductions they can make. Worked for my kid!

  18. My kid was dipping a slice of pizza in ramen the other day and watching it made me go "nope"

  19. Why was the baby even eating ramen and pizza at the same time ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

  20. I call him a kid but he's a grown adult lol. We were having a delicious seafood soup but he didn't want that.

  21. It's definitely a temperature change thing for me. I hate being even slightly cold so exiting is miserable until I'm dry enough to not lose heat

  22. My sister got me a towel warmer a few years ago and it was a game changer. I think she spent maybe $100 on it but I haven't been able to find any at that price point since then.

  23. I book my next appointment before leaving the last one, it's helped so much!

  24. I have a really hard time remembering to fill my weekly pill container. when I do it's awesome, I've caught many missed doses thanks to it. but man is a crap shoot remembering to fill it back up. I've found that if I miss a day that tends to derail the process. then I have a container with lonely "Tuesday" pills sitting in it for 2 weeks.

  25. I pick one day of the week to do it and if I've forgotten to take stuff one day it's just a box I don't fill.

  26. iโ€™m a trans man on T. i use my girly sugar voice (to get good customer reviews) initially, but when they get frisky, i have the power to turn on the Man Voice (barry fucking white i swear) and it shuts them right up

  27. I'm married but I swear I will divorce my husband right now for you.

  28. I can't stand the people in Sam's and Costco. That shit should be illegal like MLMs.

  29. I only go to Sam's to shop for work so every time I just wave my badge and say "I'm just here for work" and they apologize lol.

  30. I have keratosis pilaris, there is never a day where I don't pick my arms for atleast 10 minutes. There are many days where I try to stop, but there I go absent mindedly picking at them again

  31. How many of my working mamas ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ are SICK ๐Ÿ˜ท ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคข of STRANGERS ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™€๏ธ raising your babies โ‰๏ธโ‰๏ธ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

  32. I am now snorting with laughter in my break room at work. I LOST IT at plot holes in Daniel Tiger.

  33. Even if it wasn't going to be occupied during the ceremony, who wants to walk into a 90 degree room and THEN wait for the AC to do its thing?? Having the room pre-cooled makes the most sense no matter how you look at this

  34. Not to mention that it's significantly more efficient to keep the room cool than to have the temperature fluctuate like that

  35. I think you mean โ€œgot rid of 10lb of toxic sludge from his gutโ€!

  36. The best way I can describe the ADHD experience starts with pulling up a list of aspects of executive function. Put aside what you think you know about ADHD and just ponder the list. Then think about what it would be like to have less of all of those functions than everyone else around you. What it feels like: I mess easy stuff up a lot and then feel bad about it.

  37. AITA for protecting my species from extinction ?

  38. NTA. They know that there are rules for a reason. You totally deserve to have their special skills added to your household.

  39. NTA. That guy needs to learn that if he plays stupid games he wins stupid prizes. I don't think that the silver he started his fortune with was really his but honestly you can't really call a priest a liar..
