  1. Ear plugs don't help tinnitus. I did not know this. Is this from your experience? I was about to buy some ear plugs to help me out.

  2. they can help in loud environments with prevention

  3. I hate apple. I hate how they have the cool stuff and android doesn't.

  4. Here's a list of what the google play store has under "

  5. That's the Gen X spirit right there

  6. is there a reddit group for us? I feel so at home in this thread! Previously I joined

  7. omgosh I just finished watching the 1st season of Jeffrey dahmer on netflix and he had one like that in his bedroom. so the question would be

  8. I am still stunned at how horrible people can be, I still expect so much more from them, they disappoint me all the time. It feels like I'm all alone out here, the only one looking out for me, giving a shit about my mental & physical health. And I find that quite a terrifying world to live in.

  9. Well there is, those bone conducting ones. I’ve personaly never used them, so not sure how effective they are, but if it’s anything like the machine they used to do my hearing tests then I’d say they’d do the job.

  10. I have a pair of aftershokz and they are great especially for not putting anything in the ear however they don't have ANC.

  11. do you mean like women voting to take away bodily autonomy of themselves as well as every single other woman in the country?

  12. there is a large homeless population in Worcester. They might not be here on reddit if they can't afford rent.

  13. This may be an unpopular opinion, but settlements are pretty much the most useless aspect of this entire game. I honestly don't understand what they were trying to do with them. They rarely produce anything of value and all I ever do there is spend resources to build stuff that doesn't actually get me anything...or fight off six sentinels only to have to decide which of two douchebag citizens is right about an argument that does not affect me in any way. The more I think about settlements, the angrier I get because they feel like such a wasted effort.

  14. I thought it was to create more content and things to do for those complaining there's nothing to do. I enjoy. It's play. I put a base next to the settlement and decorate and build. I love to fight the pirates raids and sentinels even and I didn't before. I put a farm down at my settlement where it harvests the local wildlife and use those products to make food for living frigates.

  15. The reasons is simply this. Don't do to others what you wouldn't want done to yourself. Empathy for yourself is required to have empathy for others. and I see this in your writing with the understanding that this is a trauma response. There may be a lot of pain and anger that needs to be unpacked and lack of empathy is one stage of said trauma response. The solid ground you need may be empathy for yourself and processing your trauma.

  16. no support system. getting myself straightened out like it's a project cuz it's not my favorite thing to do and have zero clues. Starting with medicine. Getting a primary. Getting into counseling. Joining a support group. That's my plan to start.

  17. it's all about control. Control the congregation. Get the tithe. The money is tax free with zero accountability. Even less than other none profits who actually help people.

  18. I have a chemistry degree and it drove me up the wall when he was describing to Joe Rogan why water is less dense in it's solid form while other chemicals tend to be more dense as a solid. And it amounted to, "water is just special that way." while talking like his description was fascinating.

  19. what?! water has polar charge. Enter: google rabbit hole.

  20. okay you hit on something though. I learned, probably through this group, that 23&me dna test will show misophonia. Since I learned this my mind is boggled how they know it's in the dna but it's not recognized in medicine as a diagnosis and so little is known AND at the same time it's so life changing. Like you said - fun times! o.O

  21. thank you for this reminder and I hope you continue to get better quickly to 100%.

  22. Adorable! He’s having a blast! His clipping is a bit too harsh though, yikes. Hopefully he gets none of a better clipping

  23. I was gonna say the same. He's gorgeous but someone went to town on his flight feathers. It's only supposed to be 4 feathers and not so short. That said, it's a good time while his feathers are growing back to build a great relationship and routine with him. These birds are such great companions. and also clowns lol <3

  24. People who abuse and bully justify their behavior by surrounding themselves with other abusers. In some cases it's people who don't know it's not appropriate behavior because they grew up in that environment and if they think that abusive behavior is normal then that makes them enablers. In any case they surround themselves with those who accept their behavior one way or the other. My attitude towards these situations is not my zoo, not my problem, and stay clear of that group. They wont change, you can only change who you surround yourself with.

  25. Any place where there are entire homeless communities. Not because of the people but because of the failure of multiple government and medical systems. Because it goes to show that we are all one single disaster, one single bad decision, a single job loss, a bad parent, or divorce... away from that. Such is the tightrope without safety nets that too many walk thru life.

  26. owner lost a costumer and some word of mouth advertising cuz ewww!

  27. patients who cough don't have asthma. not true in the cases of spasticity and/or high eosinophils for example. also RAD as a result from such spasticity is another example (reactive a/w)
