I'm in this with you.

Boldly go where we haven't been in a long, long time.

  1. Market priced in doomsday type of events. Assuming China fails to implode, market will sky rocket.

  2. Old timer from Reminiscences of a Stock Operator, is that you?

  3. Mortgage payments are incorrect. It’s $2,529 v. $3,925

  4. Your 100% right I don't need anyone's approval jus looking to see if anyone has traded and travelled before.

  5. Keep it to yourself how much you make. I have no good experiences after sharing how much I make.

  6. I created an Excel sheet (one sheet is a to do list and the other sheet is a calendar). Basically, what your calendar in Outlook does but it’s easier to edit.

  7. Reta - short shares, hedged with $40 Dec. 2022 calls. Targeting price to fall to $26 to $18 per share. Risking 4% of portfolio.

  8. Your thesis: check. Your portfolio’s YTD performance: non-existent.

  9. Okay - now only risk 2% per trade. That’s $2K YOLOs on $100k. If you turned $2K into $100K then there’s no reason to risk more than 2% unless you want to lose it all. If you lose 10% of your $100K then stop because you do not have an edge and just got lucky.

  10. My strategy is not to lose money. No one who has an edge will tell you - remember that the next time some schmuck tries to sell you how to make millions for only [insert some nominal fee like $5].

  11. Long a small position in S&P500. Looking at CPI release on 11/10 to enter long or short.

  12. You belong here. Puts on this guy’s love life and trading future.

  13. Full time here. Strictly ES futures. Trade my own account and funded through a few prop firms where I trade their money. I make a comfortable living. Been trading since 2010. Blown alot of accounts on the way like everyone else. Became consistent and profitable once I stopped trying to know everything about the market, and focused only on one strategy and one ticker. Went from a jack of all trades and master of none, to a master of just one. Mastered the psychology part along the way. Just be very intentional about what you want to do. That’s really one of the best advice I can give you. Feel free to DM for any other questions you may have.

  14. What is your track record (stating capital, how many years, and average annual return)?

  15. In early 2007, I first started trading. I had no idea what I was doing and got lucky during the end of the 2007 bull market by turning $12K to $52K in two months (I bought RIMM calls, currently known as BB).

  16. Call and ask to set up a streamline installment agreement (72 month term) - no financials are needed and no lien will be filled but you need to fill out a Form 433-D to set up automatic withdrawals (you’ll need to fax this form to the IRD rep. when you call).

  17. What happened to your BBBY trade? You turned $50K to $2M+.

  18. Try applying where there are other latino or non-white people working in similar level jobs that you are applying to. Ask help from former professors.

  19. Leap puts would have been your best friend even if your shares were “locked up.” Perhaps you needed to get approval if you are an officer of the company but still would have been worth it.

  20. Every quarter before earnings they would send out an internal email saying employees could not buy or sell options during blackout periods as well.

  21. Right - but outside of the earning’s blockout period you could have bought t leap puts. Very people few would think of buying puts; so do not feel too bad.

  22. I hope Meta skyrockets and you see tendies. 🚀🚀🚀

  23. I am long shares hedged with short $95 calls and long $80 puts. 1:4 risk to reward ratio.

  24. Long shares at $72 and short $95 calls (Dec. 2023). Long $80 puts (Dec. 2023) in case deal fails to go through.

  25. Closed S&P500 long and switched to short.

  26. Long S&P500 - looks like a bear market rally to 3,780 but who knows.

  27. So either tendies or a cardboard box coming your way. Wild.

  28. Analysis: check. Returns: [this all the matters].

  29. Interest and penalties can easily double the principle taxes due.

  30. Well I closed my short and I am now looking for a long for a dead cat bounce. We’ll see what happens.
