  1. Seeing a comedy in theatres makes no sense to me. The experience in the theatre does nothing to enhance the experience of people talking to each other on screen. Plus the number of high quality comedy movies and tv shows streaming are more than anyone could catch up to. No one is running to the theaters so they can be part of a national conversation about some random romcom. We can all wait.

  2. Of course she is. She spends two days on set screaming and gets a fat pay check.

  3. All that conservatism is doing wonders for those states. Or maybe it is Jesus that is helping them out so much.

  4. If you have access to a costco, they currently have a 1700 piece classic box for $50. Not just basic blocks, lots of uniques. Super great deal.

  5. That is really cheap right? .03 per piece? Isn’t a good deal usually closer to .06?

  6. This is capitalism at its finest - exactly what American business’s claim they want. Everyone has their price and there is always another job. Business isn’t personal (unless it’s your business). The American worker has been far too timid for far too long. Your actions are not just important to you and your life - they send a message. Good for you!

  7. I have definitely thought about doing this. The local economies need help more than ever when this happens, so everyone wins. Obviously the destruction before the travel is regrettable, but nothing is going to change that.

  8. A common thing with renderings is that they are always way too saturated. It makes it look more lively, but highly unrealistic.

  9. Them not being able to swim? Or not being able to throw kids in a lake? Both valid reasons in my book either way

  10. I get that but what the fuck are we even supposed to do? They say X before getting voted in, then they do a 180 and do Y. We can’t even do anything about it. I feel like the people are just powerless at this point.

  11. This ⬆️. After 20 years I left Architecture last month. Got a new job in the same industry, same pay, better benefits, way less responsibilities and more opportunities.

  12. I moved to the Information Management and Clash side. So running clash cycles with federated disciplines models and also checking that the correct data sets are against the correct components in disciplines models. So no authoring of information anymore, just checking models. Mainly working for contractor, and our company also helps write the standards.

  13. How wide is the trunk? How wide are your primary branches? If someone is suggesting a bandsaw, they never milled a big tree. Chainsaw mills are the only real game for milling over 36" unless you have piles of money.

  14. Base trunk is probably 48”. Primary branches are at least 18”. I was definitely thinking chainsaw if I do it myself. Otherwise I think the mobile mill has something else.

  15. Branches aren't useful for making into boards, unfortunately, because of the stresses in the wood.

  16. So is good wood to mill only the vertical portions of a tree? There are some big chunks that are vertical - the trunk splits into 4 main ‘branches’ at about 8’ vertical.

  17. Side wall! Un repairable. Means buying new tires. The criminal must work for a tire shop /s

  18. That was my theory - les Schwab is the one pumping meth into Portland.

  19. Much like with the Russian war of aggression currently going on in Ukraine, you can be shot at and still win a conflict, especially if your enemy is inferior in some major ways (which a Boston Dynamics robot will definitely be, considering the fact that we have missiles, miniguns, planes, ships, etc. etc.... and they'd just be the equivalent of lightly armored infantry in small numbers with smallarms.)

  20. Fresh! One of the better cannibal movies to come out in recent years.

  21. No kidding! But this year alone i have watched 234 films including series... Infact i keep a journal with date.

  22. Yeah, sometimes I wish they would open it up a little more to other formats, but it also makes sense to keep it narrow.

  23. They are almost always not as good as they could be when they have to skirt adult themes.
