  1. When a mommy worm and a daddy worm really love each other…..

  2. 6 months for a 20 year old is quite a while? It's 1/40th of your life, your parents were wiping your ass for at least four times that long.

  3. Honestly, in hindsight I think my teachers failed to convey the importance of this when they were teaching photosynthesis, and I suspect that even they didn't fully grasp that ~95% of the mass of a tree used to be gaseous CO2. For me it was like "oh ok so they produce some sugar thanks to sunlight and fruits have sugar in them", but I hadn't quite understood that wood is mostly made up of sugar.

  4. What most people don't understand is that basically all the weight you've ever lost is now gaseous Carbon in the form of CO2.

  5. If you're not on other prescribed meds, try Psilocybin. Don't take it with alcohol or any other drugs. Do research. Only take a small amount at first and work up gradually. It's harmless as long as it's not taken with other drugs, so you won't OD or anything like that.

  6. I'd say it depends more on the space for driving. Small aisle? Let the guy in the aisle park first.

  7. Yes, but think of it this way, who gets priority of you're pulling out of the only available spot and the other guy is trying to pull in?

  8. I don't think that is, but I think some real mental gymnastics are involved in the inverse. Feel free to help me understand though

  9. Israel is a country. It's not a people nor a religion.

  10. For evangelicals it has nothing really to do with Israel’s government, I think they’d support it into the extremes. Their doctrine believes that the Jews living in Israel is a requirement for the rapture to take place & Jesus to return. That’s the main reason they support Israel so rabidly, and hold the bizarre views they often do on Jews (being v antisemitic while thinking they aren’t, appropriating Jewish culture & religion, etc).

  11. I think you need to reread what I've written. I am not denying it's terrible and illogical, I don't think it's paradoxical

  12. The truth is the client pays the agency way more than 14 an hour. The agency I worked for paid about 30 dollars an hour for me to work 10 hours a day for them - full care for a bed bound woman with alzheimers, skin wounds, diabetes and incontinence - Monday through friday. I got paid 8.60 of that 30 dollars.

  13. 2x the labor cost is fair, they need to pay for company expenses, and your non-pay benefits like employer SS contribution and unemployment insurance. In your case it's closer to 4x the labor costs, which is kind of high.

  14. My holy grail of full-timing is to go where the weather is good. A comfortably open-cockpit shuttlecraft seems like a good indicator for that.

  15. You can't always out run the rain. In fact, some of us live the rain but wouldn't want to ride with groceries in the rain.

  16. Yes I too want a more expensive and heavier phone...

  17. Apart from the fact its already an extremely expensive phone and deserves a more premium material. Not the same material that's on an £800 phone.

  18. Yes, it's a premium phone with nothing to distinguish it from the £800 phones so it clearly needs different materials to explain why it's more expensive. All phones have a folding screen and a second non-folding screen so really there isn't anything to explain why this one is more expensive.

  19. This is what happens when a mob of incompetent Muslim clerics acquires sophisticated equipment that’s beyond the abilities of the madrasa-educated male populace to operate.

  20. This is what happens when a mob of incompetents acquires sophisticated equipment that’s beyond the abilities of the populace to operate.

  21. Nah, Islam plays a huge role in the problem here. Fair pointing out the obvious.

  22. How? If you were given a helicopter could you fly it?

  23. Giving away free things on any type of online marketplace can be crazy. People either ghost you or come up with the longest stories about the situation. It’s like, I’m just giving you a rug not prescribing you medicine. I don’t need a family medical history or complicated reason. Just don’t complain if I give it away to someone else.

  24. You're giving away a rug? Man I really need a rug, see my floor is bare right now, and I suffer from sensitive feet syndrome. I wake up and bam, my feet are cold because of the cold floor. My doctor prescribed some medication, but it didn't work, and the side effects, let me tell you, the side effects were terrible. I'm talking alternating episodes of constipation and diarrhea along with extensive stomach pain and vomiting.

  25. I might try this with a plate to attach to my magsafe ring.

  26. I’ve been feeding crows off my back deck for three years now. Not once have I gotten a goddamn gift back in return. Not a penny, not a dime, not a bottle cap.

  27. You shouldn't stop though, crows have a long memory and can communicate with their peers/children and will hold a grudge.

  28. Well, I weigh 300 lbs (136kg) so my LD50 would be 408g.

  29. https://www.ucl.ac.uk/news/2022/jan/opinion-renewables-are-cheaper-ever-so-why-are-household-energy-bills-only-going

  30. From an economic standpoint, the problem really comes down to standby power. Which is the next hurdle solar and wind need to clear, significant progress has been made over the last decade or two.

  31. I completely made up the numbers, add the actual numbers were unimportant to the concept.

  32. Probably a way to get rid of knives no one wants.

  33. There's one of these that's about half the height on an intersection I used to live near, it's just sitting right out in the open between some car parking spaces and the roads. Every time I passed it I thought 1) who on earth would carry a knife there to get rid of it and 2) why had nobody tried to rip that thing out yet, it's perfectly situated to get some chains round it or whatever. Maybe someone had investigated it and found it's just full of litter, no knives.

  34. Personally I see this more as place for children or other people to put knives they find but don't want.

  35. That's not what I'm saying. They tried a wet dress rehearsal multiple times (I believe 4) and each time something went wrong. Instead of continuing until they had a successful test they said some bullshit like "well we got a bunch of data so we don't need to do it anymore". Then now when they tell the public that we're launching lo and fucking behold they have even more problems that they would have encountered had they continued to do the wet dress rehearsals lol.

  36. So, was the space shuttle also not well tested? They had hydrogen leaks. Hydrogen is not an easy liquid to use.

  37. I'm not incredibly familiar with the testing of the shuttle but I do know that NASA's go fever resulted in the death of astronauts when they failed to listen to engineers asking them not to launch over valid concerns. NASA isn't perfect guys, they make mistakes especially when they feel the pressure to deliver.

  38. NASA isn't perfect. But you're constantly jumping to conclusions and it's clear you have zero understanding.

  39. Hard to believe it's as little as 1%, nearly every woman I know has stories of being hit on before turning 15.

  40. Some indigenous tribes are open and willing to include people who didn't grow up withing their culture, especially if they are of the tribe by birth.

  41. Eh, I have plenty of chargers already, I don't need or want another one.

  42. Samsung should have listed a $5 discount on every device without a charger. Would reduce the number of people who refuse to buy their own brick if they need one.

  43. That requires money and investment. Let's just tell people to take shorter showers and flush less. That'll fix it.

  44. Larger reservoirs also destroy land and ecosystems.

  45. Looks cool, I'm looking for one with a Spen holder though.

  46. It is, and honestly the pen holder gets in the way of using your phone opened on a desk.

  47. Some teachers go overboard. I had 1 in High school who demanded we use passes (we had like 5 for the whole semester). I needed to vomit. I got sick enough to know I was going to and how soon. I told the teacher. They still demanded I find my pass. Then got mad I filled it out with a red pen. Thankfully the bathroom was just down the hall and I made it. I ended up having to call my parent because I couldn't stop and went home.

  48. That seems like the vomit should have ended up on the teacher's desk.

  49. She wasn't a kind woman so I know she would make the janitor handle it. And I'm too nice to put that on the cleaning staff.
