  1. So it might be an emergent property of society?

  2. It’s more like a projection of justice into spaces it doesn’t really exist, a mythicized view of societal mechanisms as emergent from an innate universal constant instead of a requirement for social cohesion emergent from society. Justice is emergent from society, karma is the fantasy that it is not.

  3. ....you're allowed to say "risk" and "lawsuit".

  4. You are concerned someone is going to physically harm you, due to them hiding conservative political views?

  5. Ah yes denial. It’s not us, you’re making that up. Sure. Every single one is an individual problem it’s not a trend and it’s not how the group trains each other to think, now get back in the groupthink please and stop breaking rank.

  6. To anyone saying this isn’t believable, that says more about you or the men in your life than it does about the story.

  7. Or… you could just jerk out real quick to some pornhub and get on with your day

  8. Let’s set aside objectification and the question of if women are human beings to you. It’s not a fair assumption from one comment.

  9. I'm losing my mind over this joke. "Very" surely can't be an adjective because it can't be applied to any noun. You can add all of your list to "potato" (e.g. left potato, straight potato, late potato) and get a (sometimes silly) statement. But you can't have a 'very potato'…

  10. My husband watched everything and it did not slow him down at all.

  11. I watched everything and I waited patiently and I was shocked, even almost horrified how “soon” she initiated again.

  12. “If you can't understand it without an explanation, you can't understand it with an explanation.”

  13. Drug dealer getting in car quickly: "Punch it!"

  14. Asked how the getaway driver was caught, the police explained he turned a corner, saw a police car, and panicked. Mistaking the brakes for the accelerator he quickly slammed on the brakes knocking out all the dealers. The nine months is a sentence reduction due to accidentally inhibiting their escape. /s

  15. They belong in a museum!

  16. So does Harrison Ford. Hopefully that’s a line they actually have thrown at his character in Indy 5.

  17. No, I do think he loves his family. It was just classical cognitive dissonance. He’d been taught his whole life that things worked a certain way and when someone points out that he’s wrong, even with solid evidence, he just can’t reconcile the two conflicting world views. Most of the conservatives I worked with were like that.

  18. Not military but raised conservative. It took Obama getting elected and all the racist bullshit that THEY THOUGHT WASN’T EVEN RACIST for them to break that. Before a lot of it just made me uneasy because they were very clever at making YOU feel dumb if you can’t reconcile opposing viewpoints that are supposed to be platformed together. Like “why can’t you follow the pseudo-logic trail?” Because, actually…it really don’t make no sense.

  19. Imagine a woman so blind she can’t turn a tv off yet somehow manages to pluck and clean a bird

  20. My 86 year old mother would like to know how he knows what time he craps and pees if he does not wake up till 7:00?

  21. It’s written on the care chart for his CNA. Not long after he explains his predicament they leave his room and he forgets.

  22. I'm concerned people think SpaceX has already sent a rocket to Mars. Also that Musk is intelligent or a good person.

  23. Also…half the country hasn’t bought SpaceX rockets. Or even Teslas. If there’s a Musk smartphone I’m sure it would cost twice as much as the next competitor and all sorts of apps that are built in on others will be additional subscriptions on his.

  24. ... you boil water in your teapot. You pour the boiled water in your mug and add a tea bag?

  25. You use a teapot to brew tea for a group of people or multiple cups for yourself. I believe you are mixing up a teapot with a kettle.

  26. Technically one could place two letters in a single envelope.

  27. Having worked in food service and recognizing this type of “why do you think it works like that” stupidity, well done. Love it.

  28. Yes but Jimothy, no one wants to see a five hour movie about the blue raspberry fruit roll ups…

  29. >Ask me why I don’t work hard anymore. Ask me.

  30. Nope because I worked my ass off for shit pay and opportunities. I was respected, well liked, and was never gonna get the job I wanted.

  31. I understand America is, to put it lightly, not the brightest bub in the shed atm, but I know of an even dimmer bulb, and that is Australia, but that's definately going off topic.

  32. Probably our electoral college would be able to just pick one. That would have a big impact though.

  33. Stupid people making stupid plans don’t have the forethought to connect the dots from their steps to the probable outcomes or they wouldn’t make them to begin with.
