  1. Shout out to the “If I cAnT pRoNoUnCe ThE nAmE, iT’s UnSaFe” crew.

  2. You'd be surprised how many people don't recognize the Golden Rule or understand the freedom they have to craft the story "outside the lines", especially people new to the ST's chair. If someone has started playing WoD after coming over from D&D or Pathfinder or something else very rules-heavy, telling them "actually there's no rules for that, do what you need" can be (and has been) a revelation. Many new STs I've talked to over the years are worried about getting "rules-lawyer'd" by someone, and the fact that (to quote Assassin's Creed) "nothing is true, everything is permitted" can be a very valuable shift in mindset.

  3. Just as an example, I mentioned this thread to my wife who has minimal RP experience and zero ST experience, and her response was literally “that’s not helpful.” Also, I see this response to questions here constantly, and I’ve never seen anyone reply to say that it was helpful.

  4. I have a hard time finding something that no one is actually allergic to, even things like water and sun have people allergic to them.

  5. One of my wives is allergic to many soft plastics and I’m extremely allergic to pumpkin.

  6. Sure can't open a box of Velveeta, but she can open a lawsuit.

  7. For what she’s spending on legal fees you’d think she could hire someone to make her boxed mac&cheese for her.

  8. I just made it home. Has it gotten any better?

  9. Good luck! I tried a little while ago and I could log in with some effort but attempting to turn in the starter quest at the zeppelin tower immediately disconnected me every time.

  10. Don’t be lazy. Somebody has gotta work for those things to happen and that “somebody” might as well be you.

  11. Look, if the future is depending on my engineering skills, then we’re all in deep shit. Now if the future needs sweet Minecraft textures, then I’ve got that covered, but inventing technology is sort of outside my skill set.

  12. I had it through AMFAM in Washington. It was like $22/year iirc. But i lived well above the Puyallup valley in a low lahar risk zone.

  13. Thanks! I used to play Shadowrun back in the days before you could just look shot up or ask people and we never had any idea how to pronounce it.

  14. I knoe right i pointed out a very basic flaw in one of theit posts arguments and got banned. So much frrr speech

  15. I got banned for literally asking someone for an example of something they claimed “happens all the time”. No snark, totally polite, banned and immediately blocked from messaging the mods. The message said I was banned for “asking questions”. Not kidding, that’s what it said.

  16. Socialism doesn't enable anyone to even buy a boat. Building Yachts does.

  17. Democratic socialism doesn’t preclude anyone from building or selling yachts. It’s basically still 90% capitalism.

  18. Communism works great when all parties are invested in working towards its success, but it lacks safeguards against individuals working to take advantage of the system. This means it really only works at very small scales. Capitalism works because for the most part it naturally balances and adapts itself.

  19. I’ve started working on support for my texture pack, but there’s a lot of complicated textures so I’m not sure when it will be ready for a first release. It’s also a 256X pack so it may not be what you’re looking for. I’ll definitely post here when I put up the beta pack, though!

  20. That'd be great. Can I see a sneak peak, to see what style your going for?

  21. ALL OF MY WEAPONS ARE LOADED AND SITTING OUT!! Have you had to shoot a home invader? I would be dead if I had to open a safe chamber a round then defend myself. Rope is a very common thing around the house. Should it be locked up? You get the point. People are stupid and do hurtful stupid stuff. You wanna die you going to find a way

  22. Statistically, you and your family are far more likely to be injured or killed by your guns than than an intruder. Also, you’re running the risk of inadvertently arming any intruders who happen to find your gun. You’re effectively making yourself significantly less safe in the name of safety.

  23. You have demonstrated that very clearly here already, though I admit I still can’t rule out that you do understand and are lying out your ass. Either way you’re full of shit, though, so ultimately does it really matter which?

  24. Well good news, because there’s already a shitload of data on the topic and literally all of it says the vaccine is extremely safe. Meanwhile, millions of people around the world have died from Covid.

  25. They had another one where they shot a few guys on the way to sabotage a railroad and there was a Nazi flag draped in the back seat of the car. Perfect way to remain inconspicuous.

  26. What is even the point of lying if you’re going to do it that badly? Like, if they came out and said they were Nazis, it’s not like anyone could do anything about it just because they didn’t provide any proof. This way just makes them look like idiots for no reason.

  27. Lots of misinformation floating around in this thread.

  28. According to multiple other comments they were raided in their homes and not wearing the LARP gear.

  29. Anyone who thinks Reddit would be better without mods has never spoken to an actual mod of a large subreddit. Also, that sub isn’t at all what it would be like, because that’s just stuff that got removed that people thought they could get away with. If people knew there weren’t mods it would be a million times worse.

  30. It’s also how you end up in a tyranny. It’s literally unavoidable if you disarm the population. Eventually, one of the leaders will be charismatic and decide to take over forever. Millions will die.

  31. Thank you, 7karvin, that's pretty much how I feel. All that "woke" shit, like "defund the police" and the other stupid shit they say just gives ammo to the right (which has lost its mind).

  32. I like how you’re acknowledging that the right has gone off the deep end while also accidentally admitting that you watch and believe their propaganda, which you’re blaming on the left for wanting to eliminate things like systemic racism, oppression, and murder.

  33. If we were to reset the universe and then make it run again. Fast forward to humanity, would the same thing happen ? would history be the same ? would we be having this conversation again ?

  34. Who decides guilt? How would I know if I lied? I feel like I’m telling the truth.

  35. What is it you guys like to say? I feel like it’s something like “The truth doesn’t care about your feelings.”

  36. If you check my post history you can see some screenshots.

  37. Personal growth is when an octogenarian segregationist uses “poor” as a synonym for “black” then picks LA’s top prosecutor of black people for vice president.

  38. What is it with Trump supporters and acting like deliberately misunderstanding people is a valid argument tactic that doesn’t just make them look like idiots? Because it’s not and it does.

  39. Dude, I literally stumbled across another comment of yours defending Trump like twenty minutes ago. I didn’t even have to look at your profile to know you’re full of shit.

  40. I gotta say, I really hate the trend in the news of using the noun form of a country instead of the adjective. It’s “Japanese govt,” not “Japan govt”

  41. You’ll have to take that up with the Associated Press style manual.

  42. You asked "What is it that you think journalists do?" you did not ask what this particular journalist did.

  43. This is why reading context is important. I was asking a specific person what they thought journalists do, in the context of their comment about this specific journalist. It wasn’t just an open question being addressed to whomever might read it.

  44. Lightspeed Briefs, style and comfort for the discriminating crotch.
