  1. There were times I felt like I was the only person in the army who had no tattoos.

  2. Mike Myers. To have someone follow you around feeding you chocolates is kind of sad.

  3. You forgot the safety video that they are required to watch before entering the first day of the week, the FCFS policy where only one person get to see the guard and get approved to come in at a time. A One In - One Out policy, a scale to weigh them coming into the office and going out of the office, require them to go to a cat scale and weigh each foot to make sure the weight is balanced and not overloaded. Make them do all the Macros to take lunch breaks or bathroom breaks or getting a drink to be counted as refueling, pre trip and post trip, arrived at work, fully loaded with work, empty load at work, a working aka rolling macro, if they work in the mail room they have to send at stop and left stop macros. Have them do a pre trip and post trip inspection of themselves to make sure everything is secure, fluids are at the right level, nothing damaged, cracked, holes that shouldnt be there, etc. Have an expectation of 500-600 pages done every day minimum. Have a high efficiency score on the pages per hour they do without corrections. All their meals must be able to be heated in a 700w microwave as an option to eating the 90% unhealthy food choices from a chain restaurant. Put the bathrooms 300-500yds away from their desk. They have to shower at the office and pay for the showers until they get 1,000Liters of water from the office. They have 14hrs to take their 11hrs to achieve the pages of work goal every day. If it was more than a week I'd say introduce them to recapture and not just do the 34 reset.

  4. Well, the bathroom thing was just so they would have to leave the work area for a significant amount of time. And they can't stop their time clock - but they don't get paid for the time, either.

  5. The difference is a can of WD-40 is a useful tool and when you use it you won’t go to jail. If you ever use the firearm against another person there will be consequences.

  6. If you use a firearm against another person, the last thing to worry about is legal trouble.

  7. Survival 101 if you’re alone and on foot if confronted by the enemy don’t engage, run away, much better chance of survival.

  8. I deliver fuel to stations and travel centers, and sometimes the fields are in between the pumps or even next to them. I get this weird effect where people tend to gravitate towards my truck. Like, there are plenty other pumps that are empty, but these mfers always want to get the pumps right next to my cones and hoses and be all up in the mix, even thought half the pumps are empty. Maybe I'm just that sexy I don't know but God damn. Use some other of the five pumps on the other side of me or something.

  9. Also my favorite part. Same as when I was taking flying lessons. Just stay in the pattern and do constant take offs and landings. Sometimes I think a yard dog job would be ok.

  10. And that sweet sweet feeling when your mains touch down ever so gently, and your nose gear just kisses the centerline...

  11. That’s seems like a contradiction to what happened in the garden of Eden though, where god was less concerned about the clothing of his creation. Why did he change his mind all of a sudden?

  12. “In God we trust” is the official motto of the United States of America, which supposedly practices separation of church and state.

  13. Flip flops, a jockstrap (cup optional), money, more money, condoms, condom safe lube, water purifying straw, packable travel towel, coveralls, shower head enema hose, calving gloves, headlamp, and a hacky sack.

  14. I was a new driver taking a load up to Muskegon MI during white out conditions. I could barely go over 35 mph before my trailer would start kicking. So I went 30. Truckers were passing me like crazy. I was nervous but I am just trying to stay alive at this point. As I kept driving there were several truckers that skidded off the road. One guy rolled right over. I got to my appointment 2 hours late but I made it. So take your time out there. Being alive is more important.

  15. I've done that white out driving along Lake Michigan. 30 - 35 mph, trying to stay in the lane while watching for stopped cars... Not fun.

  16. Get a routine! Whether it’s pre/post trip, hooking/dropping, etc. If you make things a habit, you’re more likely to know if something is off. I do lots of drop and hooks, so I always hook and unhook in a certain order.

  17. I've had tires that looked acceptable (not great, but at least legal) but after moving, I found that the side that was on the bottom was completely bald.

  18. Keeping this deliberately vague, very important aircraft parts sometimes aren't as accurately manufactured as you'd like to think.

  19. And some, as were made in a place where I worked, would be scrapped if they were just a few thousandths of an inch off. Even if the customer would probably have accepted them.

  20. It wasn’t me today but I am that guy, I will walk between 2 - 3 miles a night after parking up,

  21. Have you ever had to bleed fuel lines because you ran the engine dry? This would be my concern. All it takes is one accident that closes the highway down from 6 lanes to one, and your fuel supply will dwindle fast. In a perfect world you could fuel only as much as needed, but this world isn't perfect. Accidents, bad weather, vehicle failures are all a part of life. What happens if your truck decides to go into Regen during a traffic jam where you can't make it to the next fuel stop?

  22. This is one of the reasons I've always told people "It's cheaper to keep the top half of your fuel tanks full than the bottom half."

  23. Some places are required by contract or regulation to have a lock or other "security" system, even when it doesn't make any sense. I've worked at a few such places. The locks on a couple of them had keys glued into the keyholes so they wouldn't get lost. They were technically locks, with separate keys. Nothing in the rules said that the key had to be kept separate from the lock.

  24. I’ve been practicing meditating while driving. It’s been great - lately I’ve been a far more attentive driver, more patient, and far kinder to the 4-wheelers. I also practice giving everyone the absolute benefit of the doubt (Somebody doing 120mph? Wife must be giving birth. Cut across 4 lanes of traffic and 3 feet from my feet guard? Must be having a bad day). I find overall my emotional range is far more consistent and my job is far more enjoyable overall.

  25. Yeah but whatever you buy or sell privately doesn’t get a record. I’m sure dealers have plenty of 4473’s with my info. I have sold many of them over the years to people I didn’t know. I couldn’t tell them where those guns are now if I wanted to and hopefully the people who own them now realize that they effectively own something that nobody knows they own.

  26. According to the state of commifornia, I own a certain specific 6-shooter.

  27. Blackpowder is easy to make, modern smokeless not so much. And making primer in any significant quantities is also extremely dangerous.

  28. Everyone is wandering around with supercomputers in their pockets, abundant access to food and entertainment etc. People forget how good we have it because media saturates us with images of the lives of the 1%

  29. 13th amendment loophole says slavery is still okay if it’s in punishment for a crime. So all you’ve gotta do is charge black people with crimes and it’s legal to enslave them! 💫

  30. I'm okay with enslaving people who murder, and giving the proceeds to the families of the victims.

  31. The FAA would shit on any attempt to make money at it unless you had a commercial pilot license.
