  1. Older PCs like this one are going to be more difficult to upgrade going forward due to them still being BIOS only instead of UEFI. Modern graphics cards may not support your old motherboard due to that fact. You could upgrade the CPU on your old PC to an i7-2600 for fairly cheap nowadays, and any Nvidia card through the GTX 10 series or AMD card through Radeon HD 7000 will definitely work. If you want to go newer than those, you'll need to find out if someone else has successfully used that card with the same build.

  2. It's like y'all don't believe in polygamy or somefin'

  3. Might be the servers you're connected to. I've seen over the past two weeks or so that some days for a few hours the servers near to me (US Midwest) were getting absolutely hammered, but in a day or so it cleared out.

  4. Dear God, yes please. I've been trolling through Ebay for days watching stuff start to get cheaper. Hoping to scoop up a few generations-old cards for upgrades.

  5. I would be pretty mindful tho cause most of the cards have probably been crazy over used and overclocked

  6. I'd agree, and it more comes down to what type of miner you buy from. I've bought cards I know for a fact were mined on, and they've worked for years (my dream card was a Vega 56 Nano that I scooped up for just about $200 about two and half years ago before the lockdowns, and an RX 480 a few months back) If they were an intelligent outfit they overclocked memory, sure, but they also would undervolt and set aggressive fan curves to keep things cool. Replacing fans is a trivial cost, as are the occasional batch of thermal pads.

  7. I love this panel, but the one that absolutely stole my heart is in the Lost Children arc where Rosaline has skewered Guts through the cheek, and you can just see his rage as he grinds his teeth on it, and you can practically hear his rage grow from a growl to a furious roar.

  8. Oh man, Puck being out of the picture has really brought the stakes back in a way we haven't had in a while. If Ivalera is gone too, no more elf dust at all. Each fight's going to become more risky than it was before.

  9. Ah, OP is a degenerate of quality. Fred Perry is an oldie but goodie.

  10. Especially not the women; they're absolutely gay for Astolfo.

  11. The man is 6', sure, but that woman is definitely 5' 12".

  12. I just got mine two days ago. SteamOS is okay, but I wanted to use other Linux distro options. After installing EndeavourOS and trying to get my non-steam games working, I can get them running, but all my inputs are detected as KB/M, not controller. I guess this would be similar to how games play on Desktop mode, and I hope that in the future the kernel gets updated with something that allows people to use the controls easily without using Big Picture Mode to interpret inputs.

  13. The first weebs have teenage children by now, I understand that it's a terrifying concept on account that it terrifies me too. The first dnd nerds are all gray by now as well and have grandchildren...

  14. My philosophy teacher in college was an OG DnD player, like first edition. Absolutely chill, fun guy to hang out with.

  15. Isn’t this case basically a giant ass toaster? Lol

  16. If you were to never upgrade this and just outright replaced it a few years down the line, it'd be 'okay.' I got the version with the R7 5700G/RTX 2060 Super back in October. If you replaced the GPU, you'd want to replace the case. Actually, you'd probably want to replace the CPU fan too right from the start; it's an old FM2+ cooler that's rated for like 35 watts, so idling with nothing but the OS it's still mid-50s C. No ventilation and one exhaust fan for the whole case is nasty. The empty case makes a good footrest though!

  17. Can I get my nihilism in strawberry flavor please, with caramel on top?

  18. This looks really good visually compared to the Rum launcher johncena141 put out. Would this work on non-Arch distros?

  19. If there are aren't complications usually its early to late Saturday morning GMT, or late Friday/Saturday morning EST. If something has gone wrong or they're holding back some core software for testing they'll drop an announcement here and or discuss.getsol.us.

  20. I'm in the public rooms pretty frequently, and from what I've seen the reason they moved to a newer archive type is to increase extraction speeds (zpaq was pretty damn slow even on good hardware.) They're using something called FreeArk Next for their archives now, and according to the devs they're looking to purchase the closed source and open it up.

  21. Went in for one last night. Due to get it Monday. Hoping i can make this work with setup (RVZ02 itx case with 600W PSU) so I'll report back with what I find.

  22. Open up the door, get on the floor, everyone walk the Dino-Yor.

  23. At this point I think the RX 6400 is going to take the market position of the R7 240: a display adapter only practically, but they can sell it on a soon to be withered node for up to a decade with some decent sense of profit.

  24. This is me talking out of my ass, but maybe it's something related to Wayland vs using Xorg? The newer drivers that are included in Fedora default to Wayland, I think Solus still prefers Xorg due to better compatibility.

  25. Employ the Lex Luthor gambit: become fabulously rich.
