I don't need it, I don't even necessarily want it, but I've got some cash to burn so I'm gonna get it.

  1. Old Man Jack is willing to fight anything (up to answer including a bear.) So he's probably weighing his odds

  2. This is the exact reason why I’m nervous to buy my cat a new harness/carrier/bag until he stops growing

  3. Watching “whatever was on”. Everything is always on now, you don’t stumble into an interesting (or awful) show because it’s the only thing mildly interesting on tv.

  4. Patient here. Words were wavy if I looked at them with my right eye, almost like a funhouse mirror effect. Also would occasionally lose some vision in the corner of that eye, blink, and it would be back. My father had a spontaneous retinal tear in his late 20s. I'm mid 30s. Ok, pretty sure I know what's going on. I go to the eye doctor.

  5. I work in vet med. This thread is wild because my patients can't even speak and we're doing rads and full bw on a regular basis and almost every post here is someone who can't get a diagnostic until they're half dead but they can speak and tell their symptoms and advocate for themselves, it's crazy

  6. Pineapple juice is acidic. It has enzymes in it that start breaking down proteins in your mouth as you’re eating it. That’s why it can be spicy in a way

  7. In a class aged about 15, the light must have been at the angle that shone through my facial peach fuzz. A lad who was Top Lad (you know the one, inexplicably popular, all the lasses fancied him, gangly as fuck but all the Cool Girls think he's fit etc etc) comments on said peach fuzz, making snarky comments about how I have a beard. Turn to him, in a quiet moment in the class and tell him that at least my beard is visible enough to be commented upon, unlike his.... A rare high point in my school days...

  8. I was sitting in class I think it was 3rd or 4th grade and the boy sitting across from me told me that I looked like I had a mustache. I’ve been self conscious about my upper lip peach fuzz since then. I’m 21 now

  9. He’s on a diet! And he gets his cardio from playing fetch!

  10. It’s unfortunate we need the older generation to die out for this to happen. But I guess that’s how we truly make progress.

  11. It really is unfortunate. But I also feel like it may be an endless cycle because I know for a fact there are extremely close minded individuals in our generation

  12. Yes. But open minded and kind people, who are older (parents/in-laws), still have such a “hush hush” attitude. I don’t think the two are mutually exclusive - in my experience at least.

  13. That’s true about the hush hush attitude. I find it easier to talk about my mental health around people closer to my age as opposed to my mom because I never hear her talk about hers even though I know she’s struggling

  14. I managed to save up almost 20k after working since I was 18 and managed to move out just before I turned 20. But! I failed to realize how poor my mental health would get so that made it impossible to find work/want to work so I blew all of that in a year and now I’m barely making ends meet

  15. Try spraying the mold with white vinegar or a hydrogen peroxide/water mix.

  16. Not flushing the damn toilet. Were you raised with a chamber pot??

  17. That’s cool. What do you do, by the way?

  18. I used to manage a hotel. I once walked into a room that was supposed to have checked out and found a man who had hung himself presumably the night before.

  19. Similar thing happened with me about the processing part. I witnessed a woman have a massive heart attack at the restaurant I used to work at (we all thought she had died) and I didn’t have a reaction until I got home a few hours later and broke down while talking to my mom. I was 19

  20. That’s awful. Glad you were with your mom though!

  21. You’d all be thinner if your cities were designed to be walkable

  22. Not to mention that all of our food here (ex. Sugars, wheat, etc) is stripped of necessary fibers needed to function properly for our health

  23. I’d say the ‘discoloration’ is just sunstress or stress from whatever light you may have it under. Nothing to worry about. If you don’t want it stressed like this I suggest just moving it back from the light source just a tiny bit

  24. Y’all are too fuckin mean to yourselves. Fucking allow yourselves some grace

  25. I know its my hair that’s why I put the majority of it on the shower wall and remove it after I’m done. (And I still get funny looks for it)

  26. He does it more in a formal, British Navy sort of way.
