A glowing commendation for all to see

  1. It’s truly breathtaking how good he was. Every line is perfect and lyrical and loaded with depth and meaning. And 500 years later we’re all still admiring his poetry on Reddit, that’s quite the legacy.

  2. Hey fellow Norn Ironer, I moved over here 12 years ago after 30 years living in South Down and Belfast. The first winter or two was a bit of a shock, especially how long they last. You can expect to be freezing your ass off from about October to the middle of May, but it’s surprisingly easy to adapt to, you just have to get the right gear. Good jacket, boots, gloves, beanie hat and a scarf are essential.

  3. This is fantastic thanks! We had been over in the middle of March and thought it was nippy but not too bad at all and we just came back from being there in Sept, so we know we haven't experienced (even for a fortnight) true winter and summer.

  4. That’s great. We’re much further south here too (along the same latitude as the south of France, Niagara Wine Region is beautiful in the summer, and there’s an awesome winter ice wine festival we went to for the first time this year, dress warm!)

  5. Holy crap, just the fact you wrote out and shared all those resources with the copywriting community makes you an incredible human being. Much karma, success, and positive vibes going your way. You are amazing stranger!

  6. Chaos Magick all what your “reality” breaking consciousness and belief is capable of, the rest is props, ritual, and dressing up. Whatever gets you there. I love when people have fun with it, asparamancy is my new favourite word of the year!

  7. Wow! Keep up the good work. Belief is the key.

  8. The Mandarin in Burlington. It’s an all you can eat Chinese Buffet but they usually also have a few flavours of wings (and they’re not bad). Technically an all you can eat wings, but not cheap. Edit: also not Hamilton but it isn’t far, Brant St.

  9. Not pdf but hope this helps. Each marketing bullet summarized.

  10. Wow, that is a super helpful link, thanks for sharing! These are gold!

  11. Absolutely incredible! Thank you for taking the time to write out and post this all. It resonates strongly. I tried a few exercises and can most definitely feel the strong connection and energy. Will take more time and try to be in a deeper more trance like meditative state though before trying them again. Again, thank you! Edit: typo

  12. I think we should not forget that magickal practices were used by the first shamanic religions. Everything else after that is really ritual, stories, myth, and dogma produced by people around spiritual practices. Once “mostly men” decided that it could used to subordinate growing populations and used as methods of building wealth, power, and control then the fact that these gifts are the birth right of consciousness began to be heavily suppressed.

  13. Hmm, if you search this sub finding a old-school phone in an LD (usually red) and calling what seems like an external entity has happened to a few people. Rare that there is a real world follow up.

  14. Interesting. Sans one post I cant seem to find any about old school phones. But I found one about a red phone. Unfortunately the phone wasn’t red, but I was in a red room and it came out of a red piano so idk… yeah really weird stuff. Never felt that before in a LD ever. And honestly i wouldn’t even know where to find a pay phone these days anymore.. but I guess the next time I see one it will be a sign to make the call.

  15. You still see the odd ones at Gas Stations. I guess for emergencies, car broke down, phone dead etc. Well, if you call the number and someone answers make sure you post an update. Very interesting dream. I am kind of in the camp that the dream realm isn’t always entirely inside our physical bodies and contact with other entities (or people who have passed over) is possible in this realm.

  16. I’ve also seen flashes around the Big Dipper (from Canada). The Satellite explanations here make a lot of sense, when you look up at the sky on a clear night it isn’t too long before you spot one of those guys floating between the stars. I did like to always think I’d seen a UAP though!

  17. There are a few things that can keep you in a Lucid State. Interact with the environment, touch something and feel it’s texture, eating something is best (e.g. something small like a grape).

  18. During a recent LD, I did something I’ve never done before but heard about from other people. I told a bunch of people: “you know you’re all dream characters, right?”

  19. Hmm that’s interesting. I suppose I’ll only try that on one person then

  20. Just be prepared for some weird shit if you do. I’ve heard people who tell dream characters this and have them get annoyed and start arguing with them etc. mine was more like a force pushing me out of lucidity for saying. It was weird and I didn’t love it. Wouldn’t do it again.

  21. As a nation of traumas we’re still also carrying the trauma of Tom Cruise’s accent in “Far and Away.” This kind of just rubs salt in the wound.

  22. Jeez, Sweaty Earth just got tired of waiting on our lame asses: “I’ll do this sh$t myself!”

  23. Catholic Grammar. One of the youngish priests spent a lot of the one with the younger hot music teacher. I mean a LOT of time, every time you saw them they were head to head. Thornbirds. We all knew what was going on, he left the cloth shortly after.

  24. Summer rain storms are the best, I will stand out for hours, eyes closed, head tilted backwards. It is definitely a high energy feeling.

  25. Certainly not me, the cat face didn't appeal to me at all

  26. Free new Avatar with a fancy border. No way I’m falling for that!

  27. Yeah this is exactly how our neighbors lost their home and pets as it burned it all. Only lucky they themselves were not at home.

  28. I mean, so much is fucking labels. Once upon a time a person who heard voices in their head would be revered as a Holy Person and respected and people in society would act on what they learned and said. These days those in authority go to DSM-IV, medicalize it, drug it, or lock the person away. That person’s experience was the same but society changed.

  29. I'm sure you don't know who it is, but a rock musician from the USSR Egor Letov, he was kind of a magician btw, said something alike about people in a mental hospital. That they were smartest people he have ever seen. It's a different situation, but it shows up some dirty purposes of psychiatry for gov. If a person is dangerous for your political system and smart, it's better to trap him in a hospital.

  30. I think this too. It’s a funny reference but Marvel’s Moonknight was actually an incredibly thoughtful study into the line between Magick and Mental Illness, and how thin and porous that line can be.

  31. Crows and octopus are what some in zoological circles call the weeds of animals in that when a new ecological niche opens up they are the first to exploit it

  32. I would also put another highly intelligent animal in that category: us!

  33. It’s funny how we try to medicalize realizations like this. I mean, look at Quantum Mechanics. We are literally using our consciousness to construct reality from atoms and light. And light exists outside of space and time (amazing book I read recently by Quantum Foundations physicist Sky Nelson-Isaacs called Living in Flow - about synchronicity and the construct of reality). Our choices can make the world around us. Manifesting, Law of Attraction, Shifting, Chaos Magick, Life Coaches like Tony Robbins and Oprah, they are all basically saying the same thing.

  34. The original saying didn’t come from English. It was coined by the subconscious and hypnotherapy pioneer Émile Coué. The original is: Tous les jours à tous points de vue je vais de mieux en mieux. Maybe that helps as more languages are Latin based than English’s weird Latin/Greek/Germanic hybridization.

  35. I work on Mainway, between Appleby and Burloak, and there is a big guy who frequents the field and woods around the industrial buildings. Saw him one morning a few months ago out in the field trying to get a baby deer but the buck easily scared him off. Also came close to him when I went out for a walk on Mainway, but he just looked at me and crossed the road.
