A smol, delicate danger noodle.

  1. My theory is that it's because trains are a typical toy/interest for little kids so it's just introduced earlier and some grab onto it.

  2. I'm in this meme. Everyone at my old job was handling a smelly coworker in the most passive aggressive ways possible, to the extent of suggesting that we give her a gift basket of soap. That seems extremely insulting to me so I suggested that we just talk to her. Nope, not going to work according to them.

  3. I think many creatives have ADHD or ASD and have been able to thrive in their special interests. Definitely not everyone though.

  4. I don't personally think that learning better social skills is masking. Especially if you legitimately want to socialize better in some situations. I think doing it full time is what's harmful.

  5. The worst this on it's own can do is encourage masking - and that's a genuinely helpful tool for a lot of autistic people (burnout and compulsory masking aside) so...

  6. I literally wouldn't have been able to stay employed without masking. And I did eventually burn out but it is what it is.

  7. That was me before I got diagnosed and started letting my hair down again.

  8. Cute if real. I don't know the difference sometimes but it's because I'm autistic af.

  9. …. A $6000 return isn’t hard to get if you’re quite poor and have several kids. Especially back when they expanded the child tax credit. The government can end up paying back what you paid in taxes and then some. I’m sure with various tax credits this woman not only owed no tax, effectively, but was owed money on top of that.

  10. It really isn't impossible. I worked with a woman who had 6 kids while working part time and her return was around $10K. She would talk openly about it.

  11. Can you explain to me why nursing isn’t concerned with the holes in those shoes? When I worked in the lab we were very concerned with random body fluids contaminating our socks so we weren’t allowed to wear them.

  12. The work version of Crocs don't have the holes and have slip resistance. I think they also rise higher on your ankle to prevent that.

  13. We use Crocs where I work because we can sanitize them easily and they're cheap enough to replace. Those are great for not sliding on oily floors and breaking your neck.

  14. Thank you, Lulu. I don't think I'll have to go that route, and I'm hoping I won't. I really want to be okay and be able to work.

  15. There's nothing shameful about going on assistance when you have a real disability like debilitating PTSD. I have it too and I'm just able to work part time as of now so I understand how hard it is to live with.

  16. YTA and maybe a robot. Do you even comfort him or just sit there and cringe?

  17. Can't kill an LGBT character whose lack of death leads to potential plot holes but it's fine for him to abandon his entire family without much motive.

  18. You’re probably one of those people that bitched about him being black too, because it would create “plot holes”.

  19. I'm not but it's nice that you stereotype people so intensely based on one opinion.

  20. Why do we have to root for anyone? I'm fine with watching events unfold.

  21. Honestly? Because IRL I try to approach political/social issues with a sense of independence.

  22. Same crap that happened in Black Sails, they ruined the ending by having the gay protagonist choose to live in bondage with his lover rather than dying while trying to stop slavery in the Caribbean. You had a choice between two evils: a, letting most of your LGBT+ charaters die in a historical drama showing how horrible the community has been treated, or b, say screw my fellow I'm going to choose love over stopping slavery, an abomination that has continued to plague man since the dawn of time.

  23. Good point. It's actually kind of dehumanizing to the character.

  24. Its not them that started to let out of universe politics affect how the show goes.

  25. I really don't understand the recent obsession with forcing the real world's mechanics into fiction to the extent of altering the plot.

  26. I have the brain fog memory problems sleeping problems anxiety and depression, a lot of what people describe as a the long covid symptoms. I don't know if I ever had covid I've pretty much been a hermit during the pandemic. I still don't know if I ever had covid but I'm a different man than I was before the pandemic. I myself have definetly experienced a decrease in over all maturity more rage less control over my emotions, crazy risk taking behavior, crazy emotional outbursts. I don't know if I had covid but I do know I spend too much time on reddit which is like the equivlant healthwise of eating chocolate covered bacon for all my meals, and the world changing has had a profound effect on me and changed me.

  27. How's your sleep? I'm sorry you're going through that. These sound similar to symptoms I was having from PTSD.

  28. Yeah, pretty impressive likeness if we can tell the family resemblance just from other sculptures.

  29. Yeah sure, give back unique, inestimable artifacts to unstable countries that could not care giving those artefacts the proper condition and restauration for them to not fall apart in X years.

  30. People in favor of that argument do seem to forget that some of these artifacts have literally hundreds of hours of restorative work done to them to keep them in such good condition. It feels insulting to the museum staff to basically deny their efforts and send the item back to people who didn't put in the work.

  31. Fascinating. I'm dying to know who she was and what her life was like.

  32. Jaime in the book series. I refuse to believe his arc ends like it did in the show.

  33. I'm not in favor of changing this just to pander to the audience.

  34. Bad writing territory you mean….

  35. Catering to the lowest common denominator instead of caring about telling the story well.

  36. I mean.... if a country has a perfect missile defense system that's information they would not want to be public info.

  37. Agreed. I don't think a random person on Reddit, myself included, can claim to know the true state of our missile defense system.

  38. If I'm getting sweaty then I usually have a towel/damp towel nearby to wipe down with. It really helps me with that feeling to stop and refresh.
